Library PC/Internet Usage Policy - Conditions of Use

 

  • Bookings may only be made for one session per day,only one person per PC
  • Each Session is 30 minutes in duration.
  • Bookings which are not taken up within 10 minutes will be forfeited.
  • Users may use their own disks, USBs and CDs in the PCs.
  • Printouts cost 10 cents each per black and white page and 1 euro per colour.
  • Children between the ages of 12-14 years of age may use may use the Internet provided the consent section of the membership form is signed by parent or guardian.
  • Children under 12 years using the Internet must be accompanied at all times by a responsible adult.
  • Users may not create, access, copy, store, transmit, download or publish any material which is obscene, racist, defamatory or illegal, causes harassment or gross offence to others or constitutes a breach of copyright laws or licensing agreements.
  • Filter software is installed on all PCs and Library staff monitor usage at all times.
  • Users who fail to observe the above conditions will immediately be logged out and denied access to Internet facilities.
  • Kilkenny County Library Service is not responsible for any information found on the Internet. Individuals use the information at their own discretion
